Botkin&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Abstract: Data were collected from 600 newborn lambs, offspring of 354 western crossbred ewes and 26 rams, to determine heritability estimates as well as phenotypic and genetic correlations between wool follicle variables using histological techniques. Breed of sire and sire within breed were significant sources of variations in total and secondary wool follicle populations and secondary: primary (S:P) ratio. Heritability estimates calculated by regression of offspring on dam were slightly higher than by paternal half-sib correlation or regression of offspring on sire. Expressed as an average of the three methods of calculation, the heritability estimate for S:P ratio was highest (0.69) followed by estimates for secondary, total and primary wool follicles (0.52, 0.46 and 0.36). These estimates are similar to the heritabilities of fleece weight, staple length and fiber diameter. Selection for increased density, provided an accurate measure is used, is suggested as an effective means for increasing fleece weight within grade</description>

    <description>Title: Learner attitude toward call and level of achievement in basic language skills&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Authors: Bulut, Dogan; AbuSeileek, Ali Farhan Munify&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Abstract: It is a fact that the use of computers has been a revolution in the history of human life in all aspects, and language learning could not be exempted from this. Thus, many institutions around the world have integrated computer-assistedlanguage learning (CALL) into their curricula, and have been trying to constantly utilize and evaluate the contribution of such an attempt to their teaching. This paper aims to present the results of research conducted for these two aspects of CALL, and investigates the relationship between students’ attitude toward CALL and their achievement in the language skills of Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing. Afive-point Likert scale attitude questionnaire and achievement tests for separatelanguage skills were used to collect data from the students who participated in thisresearch. The findings of the study revealed that students who participated in thisstudy had a positive attitude toward CALL in general and also using CALL forthese four language skills. Even though no significant difference was obtainedamong specific language skills, CALL seems to be favored more for Listening andWriting skills. Also, the results of the study did not yield any significantrelationship between student attitude toward CALL for language skills and theirachievement.</description>

    <description>Title: A Laptop Computer Based Data Acquisition System to Monitor Tractor Performace&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Authors: Al-Janobi, A.A.; Wahby, M.F.; Al-Belakhy, M.A.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Abstract: A data acquisition system was developed to measure a set of performanceparameters of an instrumented tractor. The measured parameters included the front andrear wheel pin forces, the drawbar forces and the front, rear and fifth wheel speeds. Thesystem included a laptop computer, two data acquisition cards and a speed signalconditioning circuit. The laptop displayed the measured parameters and analyzed dataon the console in a well-designed format. It also signaled on faulty transducers and gavean indication of stability of the tractor. The system was field tested on an asphalt surfacefor its performance. The system provided accurate and reliable results.</description>
