Abstract: An arbitrarily small fluctuation of frequency ω0 at the resonance frequency of 2ω0 is shown to induce an unlimited degree of squeezing in a coherent state of the simple harmonic oscillator. In this way one component of a quantised electromagnetic wave may be rendered classical.
