Abstract: The micropropagation of terminal and lateral buds of CilIllllral/lhl/s mSi'I/S (L.) G. Don responded well to (MS) and (WPM) media containing 5-R mg/L kinetin. However. shoot multiplication of terminal buds was more successful when (WPM) containing R mglL kinetin (Ki) was used. The results indicate that stimulation of root formation on the developed shoot could he achieved when lGamhorg (B5) medium was used at half strength without any addition of plant growth regulator. On the other hand. rooting was also successful when (MS) media at half strength containing 0.01mg/L of (NAA) was used. The results indicate that transferring rooted plantlets to soil (equal ratio of sand. peat moss to vermiculite). 50-67% of them were capable of acclimation to out-door conditions.
