Abstract: Abstract, Hyalomma (Hyalommina) arabica is the most abun¬dant tick parasitizing goats in Makkah Prov, Saudi Arabia. Sheep are also infested. This parasite appears to be ecologically re¬stricted to valleys in the Al-Sarawat Mountains in Yemen and western Saudi Arabia. Elsewhere in Saudi Arabia, goats and sheep are parasitized chiefly by Rhipicephalus turanicus, H. (Hy¬alomma) impeltatum, and H. (H.) anatolicum anatolicum. Hyalomma (Hyalommina} arabica Pegram, Hoogstraal & Wassef was described from 60 adult specimens from val¬leys in the Al-Sarawat Mountains of Ta'izz Prov, Yemen Arab Republic (Pegram, Hoogstraal & Wassef, 1982a, J
