Abstract: The quantity and nutrient composition of offal from the marine fish Scomberomorus commersoni were determined for inclusion in fish feed. A good percentage (16.4 %) of offal of high quality animal protein (31.1 %) and relatively large amount of fat (55.6 %) were retained from this species. The amino acid profile of the fish offal indicates that it is a valuable source of the essential amino acids necessary for the synthesis of good quality animal protein.
