| Abstract: | Abstract: Sediment samples were collected at low tide from various localities in the Jubail
Marine Wildlife Sanctuary of the Saudi Arabian Gulf shore during 1996-1997 for the
studv of the marine interstitial ciliate fauna of the Sanctuary. Twelve species belonging to
3 g~nera in one family of the marine interstitial ciliates order: Pleurostomatida were
identified. Eight of these are new records of the fauna of the Arabian Gulf and Saudi
Arabia. The distribution of each species was compared to those in similar habitats
worldwide. |
