| Abstract: | It has long been known that adsorbed gases can have
a marked effect on the electrical conductivity of semi – conductors . The effect has been reported in transition metal oxides , anionic dyes , phthalocyanine films and a range of organic solids . In this work a print circuit copper electrode coated with TTF / TCNQ was used . Different gases were used ( SO2 , H2S , Cl2 , CH4 , & NO2 ) and the change of conductivity was measured before and after gas passing . It was found that gases can change the electrical conductivity depending on the nature of that gas . |
