Abstract: There are various reasons for notches or grooves that may be found in the incisal surfaces of anterior teeth, .ranging from developmental to acquired, Among the latter, an unreported. but prevalent one came to our attention at the College of Dentistry, King Saud University, Patients Who constantly ate unshelled nuts or seeds, and who used their anterior teeth to open the shells developed recognizable notches in one or more of their anterior teeth.
