Title: The Dimensional Accuracy and Bond Strength of Silicones Putty- wash Impression Materials.

Abstract: The Present study was done to compare between silicone Condensation and addition as regard dimensional Accuracy using two-step and one-step technique as well as measure the tensile bond strength between putty and wash material. The results of this study revealed that Condensation Silicone (one step technique) Showed high dimensional accuracy. No significant difference in dimensional accuracy was found between the one-step and two-step technique in case of using addition Silicone. As regards the tensile bond strength between the putty- wash the addition silicone have higher bond strength than condensation Silicone. Also addition Silicone gave higher bond strength with the one-step than two-step technique. A significant decrease of bond strength between putty-wash due to contamination of the putty impression surface by the saliva. It was concluded that the addition silicone impression is affected by the impression material type another than by the technique.
