| Title: | BizArk: A Reusable E-Business Architecture based on Pattern-Oriented Technology |
| Authors: | Hassan Mathkour Ameur Touir Tariq Al-Naeem |
| Issue Date: | 2003 |
| Abstract: | Summary form only given. We design and implement a reusable e-business architecture (BizArk), for which new e-business applications can be easily implemented and derived from. The architecture encompasses the main building blocks that compose e-business applications, such as supply chain management, e-procurement, selling chain management, and customer relationship management. It also considers the integration with the enterprise's back-end systems, such as ERP system. In order to increase the reusability advantage, the proposed e-business architecture leverages proven reusability approaches and methodologies such as components and design pattern methodologies. Moreover, the architecture relies on the XML industry standard to form what is called "an open system". It also leverages the design patterns methodology in its design by relying on proven solutions to recurring design problems in the e-business domain. |
