| Abstract: | Several studies have been carried out on the dental caries status of Indian children, but there have been a scarcity of information in the area of relationship between caries experience and the socioeconomic class in children, particularly in the South Indian State of Tamilnadu. The purpose of this project was to study the caries experience and determine the relation, between caries experience and socioeconomic class among the 6, 12 and 15 year-old children of Madras, which is a metropolitan capital City of the state of Tamilnadu.
