| Abstract: | This paper aims at giving a descriptive account of vowel alternations of verbs in a Bedouin Arabic dialect. The paper shows that we can account for the vowel alternations by three phonological processes. These processes are the high vowel deletion, the Iow vowel deletion, and raising. It also deals with the ordering relationship between these phonological rules. |
