| Abstract: | A total of two hundred and ten diabetic mothers were interviewed to assess their characteristics, pattern of attendance of antenatal care and their knowledge about diabetes and its management. These mothers were attending antenatal clinic at Al-Shemacy Maternity Hospital and Military Hospital in Riyadh City. The results revealed that the heredity and environmental factors play a significant role in development of diabetes, poor attendance to the antenatal clinic by diabetic pregnant women was observed and also mothers were having lack of knowledge in relation to diabetes and its management. |
