| Abstract: | This paper investigates the revival of the superhuman element in contemporary fiction. It analyzes a postmodern magic-realist story called “The Cliff” and compares it with some English Romantic poems. It finds that magic-realism can be, at times, a parody of the Romantic poet’s sublimation into Nature. |
