Abstract: This study deals with the problem of homonyms in the Holy Quran and how they can cause some ambiguity and misunderstanding to the translator when translating the meanings of Quran. The researcher suggests that translators are obliged to correct and clarify these mistakes so no one can distort the meanings of the Holy Quran and Islam. This study analyzes homonyms and how to translate them into French in order to inquire how loyal and precise the translation is, as well as to provide some suggestions to correct the translation.
