| Abstract: | Pulmonary capillary hemangiomatosis (PCH) was first described by Wageiivooilcliil. in 107S.1 Subsequently, a lutal of 18 eases have been described in (he literature.7"1* This condition is characterized by proliferating sheets of thin walled capillary channels that infiltrate the walls of pu'.monary blood vessels inducing a secondary pulmo¬nary venoocelusive disease. The interlobular septa, pul¬monary parenchyma, mtinehioles. and pleura iimv UIM) be involved. We have deseribed an additional ease of PCH associated with thrombocytopenia in a child, ant) it was diagnosed during life by an open lung biopsy. |
