| Abstract: | A new series of 2-mercapto-3-(4-chlorophenyl)-4-oxo-6-iodoquinazoline
was synthesized and characterized by their elemental analysis, 1H NMR and mass spectral data. The anticonvulsant
activities of prepared compounds have been examined using the PTZ-seizure threshold test. Compounds 2a,b, 3a, 4a,b, 12 and 13a-c
showed a significant anticonvulsant activity (at 200 mg/kg dose/level). |
