Abstract: This paper presents an ongoing research to determine the most popular skills of the e-commerce IT workforce based on skills requirements present in online job ads. A large number of ads for e-commerce related positions have been already identified representing different geographical areas of the United States of America. Data is being collected and analyzed regarding types of positions, desirable non-technical skills (business and personal traits), and, technical skills (knowledge, tools, and, languages).
