| Abstract: | A survey of plant nematodes associated with many pastures, forest trees, weeds and ornamentals growing in Unayzah governorate were carried out during the year of 1416 AH. The studied region was divided into four areas, and a total of 115 soil and plants samples were collected. Nematodes were extracted and identified in the laboratory. Results showed that 10 genera of plant nematodes were associated with 11 pasture plants, 8 genera with 6 forest trees, 10 genera with 6 ornamentals and 16 genera on 14 weed plants. These genera were recorded for the first time in Unayzah governorate, and some of them for the first time in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The genera of Ditylenchus sp., Tylenchorhynchus sp. recorded the highest association with pasture plants, Tylenchorhynchus sp. with forest trees, ornamentals, and Pratylenchus sp. with weeds. |
